What exactly is being tested? Join the in-game channel "MassTesting" Test steps: Probably similar to: Meet in FD-MLJ, at the gate to X-BV98 Jump to X-BV98 Warp to POS beacon Shoot the control tower Align to Poitot gate Fleet 1: Jump to Poitot and setup gate camp Fleet 2: Jump to Poitot + fight at the gate Optional: NPCs? What else should I know? We will be moving players to the test system - join the channel massmoveme 2M Skill points will be awarded on Singularity for this mass test Bring many different ships. Special instructions for Download on Demand For testing the "worst case scenario" we would like to ask you to clear your resource cache to force the client to really use Download on Demand as much as possible. To do so follow these instructions and the screenshots at the end: First, select the settings cog in the right upper corner of the launcher (see this screenshot). Once in the settings window, select the GÇ£DownloadGÇ¥ tab, note the GÇ£Shared cache locationGÇ¥, and make sure that GÇ£Download all the resource filesGÇ¥ box in not selected. (see this screenshot) Go to the shared cache location (see this screenshot). You now have two choices: * Delete the SharedCache folder. * Rename it. For the purpose of the mass-test, either option is fine. It is more a matter of your preferences, and how much you are willing to redownload. We will also have extra questions for the survey at the end of the mass test: What is the maximum download speed of your internet connection? Which internet connection type are you using? We experienced several problems, including low fps, missing icons, launcher problems, sound problems and so on. We are investigating all these issues and we will schedule another mass test for next week - more information later. Skill points have been applied to 802 characters - due to various issues I extended the list of recipients to all, who managed to login between 16:00 and 19:00 and I will include a few more from this this thread, who did not manage to login at all.
